Another Can't Miss!

If you see it on your television viewing menu, catch Frontline's "House of Saud." An EXCELLENT documentary detailing the history of the relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Watch how, when it comes down to it, every time you fuel up your car/truck/SUV, you're helping to fund the madrassas, Islamic religious schools. Throughout the Middle East, Saudi financed madrassas are popping up, teaching Wahhabism, a particularly fundamentalist form of Islam, rooted in Saudi Arabia.

Read the story of Haroun Fazul, just one of the many Wahhabism Madrassas graduates who goes on to join al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

Good Christians?

Since Bush's first run for office, Karl Rove "re-invented" his candidate, the once alcoholic party-boy, as the good Christian choice for president of the United States. Since then, I'm always astounded with how this administration is turning out to be just a bunch of well, crooks and liars. Are they walking the path of Jesus? Hardly. Let's take a look.

o The invasion of Iraq under false pretenses. Although I and many others saw through the cloaks and daggers presented by this administration, we have now come to find out what they really are, just a bunch of liars. Read the Downing Street Memos. Read the Duelfer Report. Read the 9/11 Commission Report. Read Joe Wilson's What I Didn't Find in Africa. Our government clearly knew that Iraq did not have WMDs. Read my response to an email sent to me after I made an anti-Iraq war Craigslist posting.

This war has turned into the fiasco so many worried about. With now over 1,700 of our brave daughters and sons killed in this war and over 13,000 maimed, this is a lose, lose situation for everyone, except the Bush administration. Who's benefitting? Dick Cheney, in a big way. With all the no-bid contracts assigned to Halliburton, Dick Cheney's making out like a bandit on this war. A conflict of interests maybe? The FBI is currently investigating the Halliburton's no-bid contracts.

Friends of Bush and company are also greatly benefitting from the oil. It's no secret, Bush is an oil man. His father's an oil man. They've made a lot of money on oil. Per Michael Renner's Foreign Policy in Focus, February 14, 2003, "Washington's War on Iraq is the Lynchpin to Controlling Persian Gulf Oil."

Bottom line, as a mother, I can't even fathom that anyone could be so greedy as to offer up the lives of American and Iraqi children for their own financial gain. Unbelievable!

o The Medicare Bill just stinks to high heaven. How could a good Christian man support a bill that isn't in the best interest of the people as it is the pharmaceutical companies? Go to the Medicare Rights Center to read how the Medicare Bill actually hurt the poor and elderly. The Medicare Bill, prevents the poor and elderly from being able to purchase drugs outside of the United States, namely Canada, where we know drugs to be safe. This only benefits big business, since it not only hurts the Medicare users, but us taxpayers as well -- who's footing the bill people? This bill was so shady, Tom Delay was on the house floor trying to buy votes -- from his fellow republicans! Read Defendant DeLay?

o The Bush administration has commited more crimes against the environment than any administration to date. Whether it's an infraction against the environment or wildlife, do you think God gave us this beautiful green earth and it's equally beautiful creatures only to pollute and collaborate in their extinction? Big polluters are getting breaks from the government in regards to settlements and fines. Read A Toxic Cover-up? about the Bush administration coverup of the Kentucky coal slurry disaster, which is considered the worst environmental disaster in the history of the southeast United States. Visit http://www.bushgreenwatch.org/ for more Bush administration environmental misdeeds.

The Endangered Species Act is now endangered by Richard Pombo (another Republican crony), friend to the timber interests, mining interests, power companies and big agribusinesses.

o Who made out like a bandit with the Bush tax cuts? The uber rich and big corporations, that's who. Bush and his administration gave a $350 billion dollar tax cut geared toward the rich. Not since the years leading to the Great Depression has there been such an uneven distribution of income. The bi-partisan (republican controlled) Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has released their estimate that 1/3rd of the presidents tax cuts in the last three years have gone to people with the top 1 percent of income, who have earned an average of $1.2 million annually. Go to the following link to read how the Bush tax cuts have really become the Bush tax increase for the rest America, especially the poor and needy http://www.americanprogress.org/site/pp.asp?c=biJRJ8OVF&b=34039.

I could go on and on and on, as this pains me, as an honest-living wife and mother. Does the above really sound like good Christian values to you? Would Jesus Christ sign off on the Bush policies? It sounds more like Business 101 to me.
